SERVO-DRIVE troubleshooting guide

This troubleshooting guide provides step-by-step help if you encounter any issues during the installation or operation of SERVO-DRIVE. If you need additional support, please reach out to your Blum representative. We’re happy to help!

SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS

Problem Possible cause Troubleshooting Solution
Status indicator on SERVO-DRIVE power supply unit is unlit
Power failure at power outlet, switched outlet switched off or SERVO-DRIVE power supply unit not connected to power outlet
Try another electrical item (e.g. a mobile phone charger). If this is not working either, then there is no power being supplied by the outlet.
Switch on the switched outlet, check the fuses and the residual current circuit breaker (RCD) and contact an electrician if necessary.
SERVO-DRIVE power supply unit damaged or defective
The SERVO-DRIVE power supply unit is damaged or defective if its status indicator does not light up even though the outlet is active and switched on, providing power.
Replace the SERVO-DRIVE power supply unit.
All SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS status indicators are unlit
SERVO-DRIVE damaged or defective
SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS is damaged or defective if no SERVO-DRIVE status indicator is lit when the front is open, despite correct cabling.
Replace SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS.
OK key on SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS top lights up red continuously
SERVO-DRIVE damaged or defective
SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS top is damaged or defective if the OK key on the SERVO-DRIVE lights up red when the front is open.
Replace SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS top.
SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS does not respond to opening request
Rigid door bumpers installed instead of Blum spring-loaded distance bumpers, or Blum spring-loaded distance bumpers are stiff
The door bumpers installed are either too stiff, or if they do not depress when pressed with a finger, are not Blum spring-loaded distance bumpers.
Replace the rigid door bumpers with Blum spring-loaded distance bumpers, or replace the Blum spring-loaded distance bumpers if they are resistant to moving.
Number of Blum spring-loaded distance bumpers is incorrect or their assembly position is incorrect
The assembly positions of the Blum spring-loaded distance bumpers are incorrect if they differ from the quantity or the planning information provided in the brochure or if they press directly on the wireless switch.
Have the quantity or the assembly position of the Blum spring-loaded distance bumpers corrected by the cabinet maker.
Front gap not set correctly
The front gap is not set correctly if at least one of the Blum spring-loaded distance bumpers is pressed in when the front is closed or is not in contact with the cabinet.
Have the front gap corrected by the cabinet maker by adjusting the lift mechanism or the number of Blum spring-loaded distance bumpers. Then start the reference run manually, following the installation instructions.
SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS does not respond or does not always respond to opening and closing requests
SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS collision avoidance active
SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS collision avoidance is active if another front is open in the same collision group.
Close all fronts manually and check the collision avoidance configuration if necessary.
SERVO-DRIVE switch not paired with SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS
Pair all SERVO-DRIVE switches of the cabinet with SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS as described in the installation instructions.
SERVO-DRIVE switch battery inserted with reversed polarity
If the status indicator of the SERVO-DRIVE switch lights up red continuously, the battery of the SERVO-DRIVE switch has been inserted the wrong way.
Insert the battery the correct way.
SERVO-DRIVE switch battery dead
If the SERVO-DRIVE switch does not light up red, the SERVO-DRIVE switch battery is dead.
Replace the battery.
SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS prematurely aborts an opening or closing motion that has been started, or a clicking noise can be heard
Front is not balanced
The front is not balanced if the deceleration distance in the closing direction is the same as that in the opening direction when the front is triggered manually at the middle opening angle.
Have the lift mechanism adjustment performed by the cabinet maker. The reference run must then be started manually by pressing the "Reset Motion key" or the "Start key" with the front open. There must be no manual intervention during all subsequent motion.
Reference run not performed correctly
The reference run was not performed correctly if the lift mechanism adjustment was subsequently altered, an opening angle stop was subsequently mounted or there was manual intervention by the user.
Start the reference run manually as described in the installation instructions.
Something inside the cabinet has collided with the front
Remove the obstruction.

SERVO-DRIVE for LEGRABOX | MERIVOBOX | TANDEMBOX | MOVENTO | TANDEM

Problem Possible cause Troubleshooting Solution
Status indicator on SERVO-DRIVE power supply unit is unlit
Power failure at power outlet, switched outlet switched off or SERVO-DRIVE power supply unit not connected to power outlet

SERVO-DRIVE drive unit damaged or defective
SERVO-DRIVE is damaged or defective if the SERVO-DRIVE status indicator is not lit when the drawer is open, despite correct cabling.
Replace SERVO-DRIVE for LEGRABOX | MERIVOBOX | TANDEMBOX | MOVENTO | TANDEM.
SERVO-DRIVE for LEGRABOX | MERIVOBOX | TANDEMBOX | MOVENTO | TANDEM does not respond or does not always respond to opening request
Rigid door bumpers installed instead of Blum spring-loaded distance bumpers, or Blum spring-loaded distance bumpers are stiff
The door bumpers installed are either too stiff, or if they do not depress when pressed with a finger, are not Blum spring-loaded distance bumpers.
Replace the rigid door bumpers with Blum spring-loaded distance bumpers, or replace the Blum spring-loaded distance bumpers if they are resistant to moving.

The front gap is not set correctly if at least one of the Blum spring-loaded distance bumpers is pressed in when the front is closed or is not in contact with the cabinet.
Have the cabinet maker correct the front gap by adjusting the drawer.
Front is soft or unstable, or drawer is too wide
The front is too soft or unstable if the front gap at the height of the SERVO-DRIVE does not change or barely changes while pressing on the front at various points.
Contact the cabinet maker.
The SERVO-DRIVE eject lever is incorrectly positioned against the drawer back panel
The SERVO-DRIVE eject lever is incorrectly positioned against the drawer back panel if the eject lever collides with the projection of the steel back or the height/depth position of SERVO-DRIVE deviates from the planning information in the brochure.
Have the position of the bracket profile, the attachment bracket or SERVO-DRIVE corrected by the cabinet maker.
Something is jammed between the drawer and the cabinet back
Remove the obstruction.
SERVO-DRIVE for LEGRABOX | MERIVOBOX | TANDEMBOX | MOVENTO | TANDEM opens automatically without being touched
Bracket profile or attachment bracket loose
The bracket profile or attachment bracket is loose if it can be moved forwards or back by hand.
Have the type of bracket profile or attachment bracket installation corrected by the cabinet maker.
Trigger safety set up incorrectly
The trigger safety is set up incorrectly if the communication cable (cable in inner groove of bracket profile) is missing or the MODE selector switch is set to MULTIPLE.
Have the communication cable inserted in the inner groove of the bracket profile by the cabinet maker and set the MODE selector switch to SINGLE.
Insufficient opening distance
Ejection power set incorrectly
The ejection power is set incorrectly if the POWER selector switch is set to HALF for longer length or heavier drawers.
Set the POWER selector switch to FULL.
Lever extension missing
Install the lever extension on the SERVO-DRIVE eject lever in accordance with the planning information provided in the brochure.
Runner system binding
The runner system is binding if the force required for manual opening or closing is clearly discernible.
Clean the runner system or have it replaced by the cabinet maker.

SERVO-DRIVE uno (waste/recycle set for the trash cabinet)

Status indicator on SERVO-DRIVE plug-in power supply unit is unlit
Power failure at power outlet, switched outlet switched off or SERVO-DRIVE plug-in power supply unit not connected to power outlet
Try another electrical item (e.g. a mobile phone charger). If this is not working either, then there is no power being supplied by the outlet.

The drip protection feature has been removed and the SERVO-DRIVE uno status indicator is not lit when the drawer is open, despite correct cabling.
Replace the SERVO-DRIVE uno set.
Drawer back is bent, chipped or broken
Straighten the drawer back or have it replaced by your cabinet maker.
SERVO-DRIVE uno opens on its own without being touched
Bracket profile or attachment bracket loose
The bracket profile or attachment bracket is loose if it can be moved forwards or back by hand.
Have the type of bracket profile or attachment bracket installation corrected by your cabinet maker.
SERVO-DRIVE uno is positioned too far back
The depth position of the bracket profile or attachment bracket does not match the details in the brochure.
Have the depth position of the bracket profile or attachment bracket corrected by your cabinet maker.
Insufficient opening distance
Lever extension missing
Lever extension is not fitted to the SERVO-DRIVE uno drive unit.
Install the lever extension on the SERVO-DRIVE eject lever in accordance with the planning information provided in the brochure.
Runner system binding
The runner system is binding if the force required for manual opening or closing is clearly discernible.
Clean the runner system or have it replaced by your cabinet maker.
Cabinet not level
Level the cabinet or contact your cabinet maker.
Drawer will not fully close
Something is jammed between the drawer and the cabinet back
Remove the obstruction.
SERVO-DRIVE uno is positioned too far forwards
The depth position of the bracket profile or attachment bracket does not match the details in the brochure.
Have the depth position of the bracket profile or attachment bracket corrected by your cabinet maker.
