SERVO-DRIVE troubleshooting guide

This troubleshooting guide contains instructions for troubleshooting if any difficulties arise during SERVO-DRIVE installation or operation. If you have any further questions, please contact your Blum representative.

SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS

Fault pattern Possible cause Identifying the cause Rectifying the cause
Status indicator on SERVO-DRIVE power supply unit is unlit Power failure at power outlet, switched outlet switched off or SERVO-DRIVE power supply unit not connected to power outlet

Try another electrical item (e.g. a mobile phone charger). If this is not working either, then there is no power supply.

Switch on the switched outlet, check the fuses and the residual current circuit breaker (RCD) and contact an electrician if necessary.

SERVO-DRIVE power supply unit defective The SERVO-DRIVE power supply unit is defective if the SERVO-DRIVE power supply unit status indicator does not light up although the socket is active and switched on. Replace the SERVO-DRIVE power supply unit.
All SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS status indicators are unlit SERVO-DRIVE defective SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS is defective if no SERVO-DRIVE status indicator is lit when the front is open, despite correct cabling. Replace SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS.
OK key on SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS top lights up red continuously SERVO-DRIVE defective SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS top is defective if the OK key on the SERVO-DRIVE lights up red when the front is open. Replace SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS top.
SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS does not respond to opening request Rigid bumper elements mounted instead of sprung Blum distance bumpers or sprung Blum distance bumpers stiff The bumper elements installed are either too stiff, or if they do not depress when pressed with a finger, are not sprung Blum distance bumpers. Replace the rigid bumper elements with sprung Blum distance bumpers or replace the sprung Blum distance bumpers if they are resistant to moving.
Number of sprung Blum distance bumpers is incorrect or their assembly position is unsuitable The assembly positions of the sprung Blum distance bumpers are incorrect if they differ from the quantity or the planning information provided in the catalogue or if they press directly on the wireless switch. Have the quantity or the assembly position of the sprung Blum distance bumpers corrected by the distributor's customer service department.
Front gap not set correctly The front gap is not set correctly if at least one of the sprung Blum distance bumpers is pressed in when the front is closed or is not in contact with the cabinet. Have the front gap corrected by the distributor's customer service department by adjusting the lift mechanism or the number of sprung Blum distance bumpers. Then start the reference run manually, following the installation instructions .
SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS does not respond or does not always respond to opening and closing requests SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS collision avoidance active SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS collision avoidance is active if another front is open in the same collision group. Close all fronts manually and check the collision avoidance configuration if necessary.
SERVO-DRIVE switch not paired with SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS   Pair all SERVO-DRIVE switches of the cabinet with SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS as described in the installation instructions .
SERVO-DRIVE switch battery inserted with reversed polarity If the status indicator of the SERVO-DRIVE switch lights up red continuously, the battery of the SERVO-DRIVE switch has been inserted the wrong way round. Insert the battery the right way round.
SERVO-DRIVE switch battery flat If the SERVO-DRIVE switch does not light up red, the SERVO-DRIVE switch battery is flat. Replace the battery.
SERVO-DRIVE for AVENTOS prematurely aborts an opening or closing motion that has been started, or a clicking noise can be heard Front is not balanced The front is not balanced if the deceleration distance in the closing direction is the same as that in the opening direction when the front is triggered manually at the middle opening angle. Have the lift mechanism adjustment performed by the distributor's customer service department. The reference run must then be started manually by pressing the "ResetMotion key" or the "Start key" with the front open. There must be no manual intervention during all subsequent motion.
Reference run not performed correctly The reference run was not performed correctly if the lift mechanism adjustment was subsequently altered, an opening angle stop was subsequently mounted, or there was manual intervention by the user. Start the reference run manually as described in the installation instructions .
Something inside the cabinet has collided with the front   Remove the obstruction.

SERVO-DRIVE for LEGRABOX | MERIVOBOX | TANDEMBOX | MOVENTO | TANDEM

Replace SERVO-DRIVE for LEGRABOX | MERIVOBOX | TANDEMBOX | MOVENTO | TANDEM.
SERVO-DRIVE for LEGRABOX | MERIVOBOX | TANDEMBOX | MOVENTO | TANDEM does not respond or does not always respond to opening request Rigid bumper elements mounted instead of sprung Blum distance bumpers or sprung Blum distance bumpers stiff The bumper elements installed are either too stiff, or if they do not depress when pressed with a finger, are not sprung Blum distance bumpers. Front is soft or unstable, or drawer is too wide The front is too soft or unstable if the front gap at the height of the SERVO-DRIVE does not change or barely changes while pressing on the front at various points. Contact the distributor's customer service department.
The SERVO-DRIVE eject lever is incorrectly positioned against the drawer back panel The SERVO-DRIVE eject lever is incorrectly positioned against the drawer back panel if the eject lever collides with the projection of the steel back or the height/depth position of SERVO-DRIVE deviates from the planning information in the catalogue . Have the position of the bracket profile, the attachment bracket, or SERVO-DRIVE corrected by the distributor's customer service department.
Something is jammed between the drawer and the cabinet back   Remove the obstruction.
SERVO-DRIVE for LEGRABOX | MERIVOBOX | TANDEMBOX | MOVENTO | TANDEM opens automatically without being touched Bracket profile or attachment bracket loose The bracket profile or attachment bracket is loose if it can be moved forwards or back by hand. Have the type of bracket profile or attachment bracket installation corrected by the distributor's customer service department.
Trigger safety set up incorrectly The trigger safety is set up incorrectly if the communication cable (cable in inner groove of bracket profile) is missing or the MODE selector switch is set to MULTIPLE. Have the communication cable inserted in the inner groove of the bracket profile by the distributor's customer service department and set the MODE selector switch to SINGLE.
Opening angle insufficient Ejection power set incorrectly The ejection power is set incorrectly if the POWER selector switch is set to HALF for drawers with large nominal lengths or high loads. Set the POWER selector switch to FULL.
Lever extension missing   Install the lever extension on the SERVO-DRIVE eject lever in accordance with the planning information provided in the catalogue.
Runner system stiff The runner system is stiff if the force required for manual opening or closing is clearly discernible. Clean the runner system or have it replaced by the distributor's customer service department.

SERVO-DRIVE flex

SERVO-DRIVE power supply unit is defective The SERVO-DRIVE power supply unit is defective if the SERVO-DRIVE power supply unit status indicator does not light up although the socket is active and switched on. Replace the SERVO-DRIVE power supply unit.
Status indicator on SERVO-DRIVE flex is unlit SERVO-DRIVE flex is defective SERVO-DRIVE flex is defective if the SERVO-DRIVE flex status indicator is not lit when the front is open, despite correct cabling. Replace SERVO-DRIVE flex.
SERVO-DRIVE flex does not respond or does not always respond to opening request, reset or reference run Transport aids on the white goods have not been removed   Remove the transport aids on the white goods in accordance with the instructions provided for the white goods.
Rigid bumper elements mounted instead of sprung Blum distance bumpers or sprung Blum distance bumpers stiff The bumper elements installed are either too stiff, or if they do not depress when pressed with a finger, are not sprung Blum distance bumpers. Replace the rigid bumper elements with sprung Blum distance bumpers or replace the sprung Blum distance bumpers if they are resistant to moving.
Number of sprung Blum distance bumpers is incorrect or their assembly position is unsuitable The assembly positions of the sprung Blum distance bumpers are incorrect if they differ from the quantity or the planning information provided in the catalogue . Have the quantity or the assembly position of the sprung Blum distance bumpers corrected by the distributor's customer service department.

SERVO-DRIVE flex rod is incorrectly positioned against the front The SERVO-DRIVE flex rod is incorrectly positioned against the front if it is insufficiently pressed in when manually closing the front. Have the depth position of the SERVO-DRIVE flex adjusted in accordance with the planning information provided in the catalogue or have the front adjusted by the distributor's customer service department. Subsequently start the reference run manually as described in the installation instructions .
Front too soft or unstable, sealing lip too hard, or too many sprung Blum distance bumpers installed If the front gap at the height of SERVO-DRIVE flex does not change or barely changes while pressing on the front at different points, the front is too soft or unstable, the sealing lip on the white goods is too hard, or too many sprung Blum distance bumpers have been installed. Have the SERVO-DRIVE switch installed by the distributor's customer service department and connect it to SERVO-DRIVE flex.
Rod rubbing against the front drilling The rod is rubbing against the front drilling if the friction is clearly discernible when the front is opened by moving the rod manually. Have the position of the front drilling for the SERVO-DRIVE flex rod corrected by the distributor's customer service department in accordance with the planning information provided in the catalogue . Subsequently start the reference run manually as described in the installation instructions .
Vacuum in the refrigerator is too high The vacuum in the refrigerator is too high if it cannot easily be opened again, shortly after it has been open for a longer period of time (e.g. when putting items away or cleaning). Wait up to 20 seconds until the vacuum has automatically reduced.
Opening angle insufficient Reference run not performed correctly The reference run was not performed correctly if the refrigerator was not cold at this time or there was manual intervention by the user. Manually start the SERVO-DRIVE flex reference run in accordance with the installation instructions.
Door does not close Catch plate not mounted on the front or mounted in the wrong position The catch plate is incorrectly positioned on the front if the rod does not meet it in the centre. Have the catch plate installed, or its assembly position corrected by the distributor's customer service department.
Something inside the refrigerator or dishwasher has collided with the front   Remove the obstruction.
SERVO-DRIVE flex loose SERVO-DRIVE flex is loose if the side mounting plate has been insufficiently screwed on, or if the additional front screw is missing or has been inserted on the wrong side. Have the type of SERVO-DRIVE flex installation adjusted by the distributor's customer service department in accordance with the planning information provided in the catalogue . Subsequently start the reference run manually as described in the installation instructions .
Dishwasher locking mechanism is stiff   This is not a SERVO-DRIVE flex fault.
