Blum to manufacture new soft close hinges in the US

With the immediate success of COMPACT BLUMOTION soft closing face frame hinges, Blum plans to add two new hinge manufacturing lines to its North Carolina
production facility. These manufacturing lines will assemble COMPACT BLUMOTION hinges
exclusively and should be operational by the end of January 2012.

COMPACT BLUMOTION launched to major manufacturers in May of this year, and in October Blum launched the 1/2” and 1-1/4” overlay versions of the hinge to distributors. Both markets were eager for a quality face frame hinge with built in soft close and the acceptance has been nationwide. With
these two new hinge manufacturing lines, Blum will be able to closely control inventories and meet unexpected surges in demand.

COMPACT BLUMOTION is Blum’s face frame hinge with soft closing integrated into the hinge cup. They are available in overlays from 5/16” to 1-9/16” and offer three-dimensional door adjustment.
