Julius Blum founded his company on 1 March 1952 and produced his first product: a horseshoe stud. Company history of the Blum Group  Perfecting motion...After a difficult first few years, the company began a period of steady development. In 1958, fortune smiled and the company began to expand: Julius Blum received the license for the manufacture of ANUBA fittings in Austria. This was the initial foray into the fittings industry.   Blum continued to grow throughout the sixties, seventies and eighties. The main facility in Höchst was expanded, new plants were built and the first foreign subsidiaries were founded in Belgium, France, Ireland and Great Britain. The company became increasingly more international. New product systems were developed predominately for kitchen furniture.   Today, Blum, after over 50 years of steady growth, is an international company which manufactures hinge, lift and pull-out systems primarily for the kitchen. |
